The idea for a Mikhlin family web site came about as the result of the extensive family research conducted by
Daniel Klionsky and through the communication he initiated with family members among the various branches of the Mikhlin family.
Daniel worked with family members to share photos and family information and the idea for the web site ensued.

Daniel Klionsky
of San Francisco, son of Svetlana Klionsky (daughter of Roman Katz) of St Petersburg, Russia and great-great-grandson of Abram Mikhlin(1850-1919), Petrovichi, Russia.
Daniel was born in Leningrad, Soviet Russia. His grandfather, Roman[Ruvim] Katz(1918-2018), WWII veteran,
shared with Daniel a lot of WWII stories along with the stories from his own childhood. Daniel has kept these stories documented.
In 1994 Daniel & his family moved from Russia to the United States and settled in San Francisco, California.
Daniel is a webmaster for this site and does Mikhlin geneology reasearch as well. He works as a software engineer in San Francisco Bay Area.
